This portfolio highlights the diversity and versatility of my work, reflecting my experience as a photographer, videographer, drone pilot, makeup artist, and producer.
Catrina Makeup
As a makeup artist, I have developed a unique vision to reimagine and elevate the elegance of the Catrina, stepping away from the traditional concept. Each year, we strive to create meaningful and culturally rich Catrinas, celebrating this iconic symbol across different regions of Mexico.
From Idea to Reality
We specialize in the full-scale production of our projects, bringing the vision of our Catrinas to life from concept to realization. An example of this is our acclaimed project “El Viaje de las Ánimas”, in which we created a completely unique Catrina, from the makeup to the dress made of natural flowers. Every detail, including location selection and photography, was carefully designed to capture the cultural and artistic essence of the tradition. To achieve this majestic piece, we collaborated with a team of creatives from various disciplines, resulting in a work of great cultural and visual value.
Aqua Catrina Experience
Currently, we are working on Aqua Catrina, an innovative project that redefines the traditional figure of the Catrina. Unlike other projects, Aqua Catrina is composed of a highly specialized team made up of four key members: makeup, headpiece, video, drone, and creative direction by myself, @alesuart; photography by @cenote_portraits; model and CEO: @jael.sol.agua; and dress design by @anagiamx.
This project is centered around the cenotes of Tulum, where we blend the mysticism of these stunning natural locations with a renewed visual concept. We explore the profound connection between death, nature, and Mexican tradition, creating a unique piece that transcends the traditional.
Illustrated Dresses
Each of our dresses is illustrated under exclusive licenses created by the artist Ale Su Art. These textile illustrations are conceived as original works of art, designed specifically for each piece and protected under unique artistic licenses. This approach ensures authenticity, authorship, and the preservation of the cultural and visual narrative embedded in every garment.
